Live the Mission

I hope you are enjoying these April showers.

We completed the series on "Livin’ the Mission" this past Sunday.  Remember to ask yourself this question, "What is worth the rest of my life?"  I believe the answer is giving your all to Jesus.

I am attaching the Sermon notes as I did not have those for you this past Sunday.

Remember Easter Sunday is coming and it would be great if you could invite at least 2 people in these next two weeks.  We will have a special SonRise service at 8:00, followed by breakfast at 8:30, Sunday School at 9:30 and Worship service at 10:30.

This coming week I am going to be preaching on John 13 and answering the question, "What is the Love Feast?"  I know that may sound like a funny term in our world today.  It refers to the "Last Supper" that Jesus had with his apostles and the meal that we will be sharing together on Thursday April 21 at 7:00 pm.

Also coming up is a Leadership Meeting at Bill and Melody Bowman’s on Tuesday April 19 at 7:00 pm.

Community Good Friday Service at 7:00 pm on Friday April 22.

Chicken N Dumplings Dinner on Friday April 29.

God Bless,
Brian Mackie

Livin’ the Mission:

“Live the Mission”

Verses: 1 John 5:1-5

To make Jesus Christ known, loved and obeyed.                         (White Branch Mission Statement)

1 John 5:1-5 “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.  This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.  This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.  Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”

 Steps to Livin’ the Mission:

#1  Believe that Jesus is the Christ. (1 John 5:1, 5)

#2  Love God (1 John 5:2-4)

#3  Obey God  (1 John 5:3-5)

#4  Love Others (1 John 5:2-5)

Two Sides of Livin’ the Mission:

 #1  Your relationship to Christ.

#2  To help others know, love and obey Jesus.

Where are you with Jesus?

What do you want to commit to today?
